Goop and Lego inventions

On Saturday, the kids were bored and asking to watch TV or play video games.
Instead, we decided to play with Goop. It's a complex mixture of a box of corn starch with 2 cups of water.

It's pretty cool stuff. When you relax your hand, it goes through your fingers like liquid. When you clench your fist, it becomes a solid. Then when you relax it drips again.

It took Josh a while before he wanted to stick his hands in the Goop. When I showed him what we were going to do, he ran away until he saw it's easy to wash off when the fun is done. Just hose everything down.

While we were hanging around outside, our neighbor came out to show us his peck of purple peppers.
I thought Peter Piper only picked those in fairytales, but I apparently they're real!
Ashley wanted me to include this picture of her riding her bike around.
And Ethan was excited to find a tiny open egg shell.
We all hoped the bird was able to come out on its own and wasn't some squirrel's dinner.
And here's a hand mixer/soup stirrer Ethan made out of Legos.
He should apply to be a Lego Designer when he grows up.
Or maybe a Goop Squisher.
Either one would be a rewarding career...
