soccer starts now

 Ashley decided she wanted to play indoor soccer. She used to play in our Village in the swamp with boys from other countries, and she was pretty good, so we signed her up.

 It's at the city fitness center, and we have to sit on the track that wraps around the second level, watching her from above.

 There's one other girl on her team, and this week the team they played against had no girls at all. But she doesn't care, she just gets in there and kicks the ball. You can tell which one is her by her pink shoes.

They gave her a scarf (we're not sure why). Do soccer players wear scarves?

I have to admit, I'm a big fan of indoor soccer. When she played soccer on a team in first grade, we had mosquitoes, rain, heat, sunburns, and wind. It's great to enjoy the game without those things. So far she's loved every minute of it.
